Backyard Diggs no. 01

Earlier this month I hosted my first house gig with the intent of bringing musicians and audience members together to embrace music within an intimate setting.

William O’Donohue (Runaway Mornings) and Kristi Gilchrist took the call for the gig without hesitation, a date was set and the anxiety of wanting it to go well set in! As an invite only gig, messages were sent to close friends who would be interested in an intimate listening of two greatly talented lyric writers, a platform for them to be heard in-depth and without judgment.

On the Central Coast i’m usually hearing the mutterings of ‘there are not many places to perform ones own music acoustically’. This year i’ve set a goal to have a little bit of impact on that mantra and to build upon (even just a bit) the great community of musicians.
