Cypress Bartlett is a drummer, producer/arranger and educator from Sydney/ Central Coast who has performed in a broad range of productions including; Hadestown (Deputy - Opera Australia), RENT - Opera House 2021 & National Tour 2024 (LPD Productions and Sugar Rum Productions), Dear Even Hansen (Sydney Theatre Company 2024), Merrily We Roll Along (Luckiest Productions - AMD/ Drums) Come From Away (New Theatricals), The Lovers (Bell Shakespeare AMD/ Drums), Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (Pinwheel Productions & The Hayes Theatre Co.), Wizard of Oz (Prospero Arts), NIDA (Sweeny Todd 2023, Falsettos 2022, Mr. Burns: A post-electric play 2021), and for artists such as Bernie Dieters 'Club Kabarett’, The Italian Tenors, Songs in the Key of Motown (Abstract Entertainment), P&O Cruises (Fine Lines Entertainment), musically directs for; international artist Zoe K, Australian singer/songwriter Kaya Byrne (as well as producing his debut EP Belladonna Supernova) and Australian first Zach Plays Zak (Zach Bryan Tribute show) . Cypress also has released a self-produced album muse.
Beyond performing, Cypress has had the privilege of orchestrating/ arranging and/ or preparing sheet music for; Dubbo Championship Wrestling, and Young Frankenstein (The Hayes Theatre Co.), The Lovers (Bell Shakespeare), Scouts NSW, Joe Accaria (Repercussions) and Marcia Hines.
Cypress has obtained a BA in music (Australian Institute of Music) and a Masters Degree in teaching (University of Newcastle).
